Best Matte Lipsticks for Daily Use
Since I've been getting questions about what matte lip colour products to use to university, I decided to make a post about matte lipsticks for daily use!!
I'm not going to discuss the details of the ingredients because frankly, I don't have much idea about that.
I'll just discuss the texture and the finish of each product. One thing to note is that because it is for daily use, I don't recommend bright, bold, colour. Especially if you're a university student, you don't wanna look all tacky with super bright red. You have to keep it classy with natural, MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade.
There are 3 products that I always recommend to everyone who asks me 'What's the best lip colour for every day use?' and here is the swatch: (from left to right is number 1 to 3)
1. Wardah Matte Lipstick shade no. 14 (Velvety Brown)
It's the perfect colour for everyday use especially the light to medium skin tone (I guess it suits all undertones). I bought it for Rp 32.000,00. Perfect price for uni students :p

It's a very ordinary type of lipstick case but well it explains the price, right? It's matte but it still has a bit of gloss in it (not too much gloss, don't worry, it still looks natural). If you want a very matte one you can go for the Wardah Long Lasting Lipstick one. The texture is really nice, it glides on smoothly on your lips and the pigmentation is great too.
2. L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte in Maple Mocha
The second one is from L'Oreal. I bought it for Rp 155.000,00. It's a pinkish brown shade that matches (I bet) every skin tone and it's perfect for daily use because it looks natural. The finish is matte, even though when you first apply it it feels a bit balm-y. It's matte, don't worry. The pigmentation is pretty good.
3. Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet shade no. 7 (Nude-ist)
The last one is from Bourjois. The sad part is this shade is not highly available in Indonesia. Some online shops sell this but I don't know, I don't really prefer shopping in instagram (I have trust issues with instagram online shops). So if you know a trusted online shop, please let me know :D
The finish is matte, even though it says velvet, but this lip cream is very moisturising (despite the fact that it is matte) and the staying power (and the pigmentation) is amazing. It's really worth it. I bought it in Brisbane for AUD25 but here in Indonesia I heard you can get it in some online shops for Rp 225.000,00 if I'm not mistaken.
