Fight Acne with These Wonderful, Affordable Products
Who doesn't hate acne?
I bet all of us do hate acne.
Today I'd like to share to you what products my sister has been using to fight her acne.
My skin (fortunately) is not prone to acne so I never had to deal with severe acne. But my sister had severe acne once and these products calmed her skin and vanished her acne!

First, you cleanse your face with the Calming Facial Cleanser. I bought it for Rp 129.000,00.
The texture is creamy, it's more like a milk cleanser than foaming cleanser so don't expect lather.

Ingredients: Aqua/Water (Solvent), Pentylene Glycol (Solvent), Butylene Glycol (Humectant), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Emollient), Sorbitol (Humectant), Glycerin (Humectant), Glyceryl Stearate Citrate (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Propanediol (Viscosity Modifier), Cetearyl Alcohol (Emulsifier), Glyceryl Stearate (Emulsifying Agent), Dimethicone (Skin Conditioning Agent), Butyrospermum Parkii Butter/Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter (Skin Conditioning Agent - Emollient), Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil (Emollient), Caprylyl Glycol (Skin Conditioning Agent), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer (Stabiliser/Viscosity Modifier), Xanthan Gum (Viscosity Modifier), Disodium Phosphate (pH Buffer), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sodium Hydroxide (pH Adjuster), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster).
As you can see from the ingredients, it does not contain any fragrance or colouring. Therefore, it is safe for sensitive skin.
"You're treating acne-prone skin, why don't you use the Tea Tree line?"
Well. What I learned from publications and my sister's experience is that acne-prone skins are usually sensitive skin. Sensitive skin tends to react horribly to fragrance. So if you have acne-prone skin, use a fragrance-free products to be safe.
Moving on to the next step: TONER
I bought this toner for Rp 149.000,00
Again, I'll just copy-paste the ingredients from TBS website (http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/skincare/toners/aloe-calming-toner.aspx).
Ingredients: Aqua/Water (Solvent), Pentylene Glycol (Solvent), Sorbitol (Humectant), Butylene Glycol (Humectant), Glycerin (Humectant), Propanediol (Viscosity Modifier), Polysorbate 20 (Emulsifier), Caprylyl Glycol (Skin Conditioning Agent), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Skin Conditioning Agent), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster), Sodium Hydroxide (pH Adjuster).
I did not take a photo of its texture because it's basically just transparent water-like texture. It's the best toner from TBS, I must say. I love this toner. It's light, moisturising, and it does have the calming sensation after you use it.
You can apply it to your face with a cotton pad, or you can just pour 4-5 drops to your palm and pat it directly to your skin.
The last step is: Acne Potion! :p
This product is the best. For only less than Rp 20.000,00, you can get the same effect like if you use Mario Badescu Acne Drying Lotion, which is 10 times more expensive.
You can find this product in nearly every drugstore and even big supermarket like Carrefour or Giant. Sorry I couldn't find the box of this product, so I'll just skip writing down the ingredients until I buy a new one.
To use it is very easy, you shake the bottle, and pour down some on your palm, apply it to the acnes. It dries out acne very quickly. You can see that your acne calmed down in just 2-3 days.

P.S. One thing to note is that my sister does not use makeup. So it's enough for her to use only the calming cleanser.
