REVIEW Glossier Products Skincare & Makeup (Is it worth the hype?)

Hi!

Here comes the most requested review on my ask.fm. It's the famous indie skincare/makeup brand from US, Glossier!

The picture above shows the Glossier products that I currently have. They have more, but I just haven't had the chance to complete my collection.

Now I'm gonna share to you guys what I think about these products, starting from the skincare products:

1. Glossier Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum

I am gonna jot down the ingredients list so it's easier for you to read:

Water/Aqua/Eau, Niacinamide, Glycereth-26, Propanediol, Zinc PCA, Citric Acid, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Extract, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose

As you can see from the ingredients list, it contains NO FRAGRANCE, which is very good. The niacinamide and zinc are listed on the top rows of the list, which is again, very good. Because that means the product contains high percentage of substances they highlight on the title.

Niacinamide is stable under the light so clear packaging won't be a big problem. However, as for any other serums, I would recommend you to store it in the box.

Using this regularly can help with your uneven skin tone, wrinkles, and can hydrate your skin. The zinc content in this product, along with the good honeysuckle extract can soothe your skin so sensitive skin will be okay to try this one out.

It's in a clear watery texture that glides wonderfully on skin, absorbs easily as well. So it's safe to say that this serum will work on all skin types. I'm giving this a 9.5/10.

2. Super Bounce Hyaluronic + Vitamin B5 Serum

You must be familiar with hyaluronic acid. The good ol' hydrating substance.

Hyaluronic acid will help your skin become smoother and more hydrated. Vitamin B5 (panthenol) does that too. So it's a double hydration substance in one product.

Let me write down the ingredients list for you:

Water/Aqua/Eau, Biosaccharide Gum-2, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Caprylyl Glycol, PEG-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Polysorbate 80, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Octyldodecanol, Isohexadecane, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate

A pretty straightforward hydration serum. I like to use it with other serums since this one does mainly hydration.

It won't feel heavy because the gel texture of this serum is amazingly light and very comfortable to use. Also, again, no fragrance. YEAY! Giving this a 9/10 since it lacks other antioxidant properties in it.

3. Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum

I'll start with the ingredients list:

Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycereth-26, Propanediol, Aminopropyl Ascorbyl Phosphate, Magnesium PCA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol

A very short list hehe and I actually like products without too many many unnecessary substances.

You can see an 'indie' Vitamin C form in this product: Aminopropyl Ascorbyl Phosphate. This form of vitamin c is relatively new in skincare, so there are not many literature covered this substance, yet.

However, the existing ones say that this new form is considered as the stable form of vitamin C. Stable in a way that it won't be damaged so easily when exposed to sunlight (even though I still highly recommend you to keep it away from sun exposure).

The texture is watery, very very light texture. In fact, it absorbs super fast so you better drop it from the dropper straight to your face, unless it will dry out in your palms.

I like this product a lot. I can see that my face gets better when using this. When I wake up after using this the night before, I can see that my complexion is brighter and less dull. Giving this a 10/10.

4. Glossier Priming Moisturizer

I'm just gonna be real quick with this one. This has become my number one go-to moisturizer. It has a creamy but very light gel-like texture that absorbs well but very moisturizing.

I can use it when my skin is dry and oily, it feels like this moisturizer just adapts to what my skin needs at the moment. It is also wonderful to use under makeup.

Makes makeup application looks smoother and more flawless.

It is NON-FRAGRANCED too, which I love. It has many useful plant extracts in it. Good for all skin types. Definitely a 10/10.

Now moving on to the makeup products. Currently I only have two types, the blush and concealer. Again, they are non-fragranced<3

Cloud Paint in shade Beam and Haze. And Stretch Concealer in shade Medium.

I swatched all three for you too see their textures.

For the Cloud Paints, I have been in love with them ever since I tried the Beam one for the first time. Which is why I bought another shade.

It is very very easy to use. It strangely can be used before or after base makeup, which I rarely experience with other cream blushes. Other cream blushes need to be applied before base makeup or else it will look messy. But this one is good before or after base makeup.

Very lightweight, the colour stays all day too!

It sets to matte, very pretty and natural looking finish too. I seriously recommend this to all of you, blush lovers. You will definitely love this. I promise. An easy 10/10 for Cloud Paints.

For the concealer, if you like a full makeup with heavy coverage, you will not like this. But if you're into natural natural makeup look like me, you will loveeeee this concealer. It offers a light coverage (almost like a tinted moisturizer) and guarantees no creasing! It melts smoothly into skin and if you set it with powder, it will look like you're not wearing anything.

However, it won't work for people with many skin problems like acne, dark spots, and whatnot. I'd say this one is only good for you with non-problematic skin. Considering that fact, I'm giving this a 8/10.

You can check Skincarisma.com for the FULL ingredients breakdown!

That is all! I hope you guys find this helpful! Until next post <3 thanks for reading! Congrats, you made it this far! hehe
